(Semi) Senior Accountant - Retford

Our client is a leading firm of accountants who are known across the East Midlands, South Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. They have an excellent reputation as an employer and they are seeking someone with experience of working in a firm of accountants for a rewarding job at their Retford office.

The position can be moulded around the successful applicant's skills and ambitions and will include some or all of the following:

• Preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Preparation of business tax computations
• Preparation of basic personal tax computations and possibly returns
• Assisting managers on assignments - both in and out of the office
• Manage clients - possibly your own portfolio
• Potentially some audit work, assisting an Audit Senior or Manager (no experience of audit required)
• Assisting with bookeeping and VAT returns for clients with some management accounts
• Assisting the training of more junior members of the team

The ideal applicant will have proven experience gained from working in an accountancy firm and be an AAT studier or qualified. Those without qualifications but with practical experience will equally be considered. Our client also provides a supportive environment and ongoing development for those studying ACA or ACCA.
