Friday 13th share photos from their last event
19th July 2011The Midlands networking group for professional services sector– Friday 13th held their second in a line of Fashion Show themed networking events last Thursday evening in Leicester.
The event, held in the beautiful Leicester city centre City Rooms, brought in bankers, lawyers and accountants from across the city and county who were treated to an elegant evening of champagne, canapés, tailored fashion designs and contemporary living exhibitions.
The evening kicked off in style with a champagne reception followed by the fashion show at 6pm in the opulent City Rooms Ball Room where the travelling tailors, Head & Griffiths showcased their classical and sometimes unique male and female suit designs on the models whom had been handpicked from the Nottingham, Leicester and Derby professional services firms; RSM Tenon, Smith Cooper, Press for Attention, Josiah Hincks Solicitors and Blusource.
The Head & Griffiths models identity had not been disclosed but there was a buzz in the room discussing who they might be. Applause rang round the room and colleagues seemed delighted as out walked Chris Darlington –Managing director of RSM Tenon Leicester wearing a formal pointed lapel suit in navy wool cashmere cloth, followed by Amy Norris –Associate at Blusource, Nottingham sporting a purple fitted shift dress with a coordinating jacket. Greg Simpson of Press For Attention Nottingham PR business strutted out in a herringbone patterned wool cashmere suit with silk lining and Egyptian cotton shirt accompanied by Jennifer Allen in a summery camel coloured dress and jacket. Claire Bicknell- business development director at Smith Cooper –owned the catwalk in a classic little black dress and Asit Jansari of Josiah Hincks Solicitors, Leicester closed the fashion show in his classic style charcoal grey suit in a wool cashmere cloth with crisp white shirt.
After the show guests continued mingling and networking while enjoying canapés in the ball room where exhibitors such as the exquisite Leicestershire jewellers, Lumbers, had beautiful displays for guest to peruse including a wide range of men watches, ladies diamond jewellery and even a unique handmade platinum plated mobile phone worth £5k
As the evening drew to a close guests who had not been to a Friday 13th networking event before were welcomed with new member packs. Friday 13th is open to all lawyers, bankers and accountants across the Midlands who understand the benefit of networking but want to have an enjoyable time doing it.
