Fantastic opportunity for part qualified CIMA / ACCA accountant with 2 years’ experience who is actively studying towards full qualification.

Reporting in to the Senior Finance Manager you will be responsible for producing monthly management accounts for the operations division of the business.  This will include prepayments and accruals, reconciling balance sheet controls and providing profit and loss analysis.

You will be expected to work proactively to provide the latest view of material costs to the business and be responsible for creating, issuing and collating forecast and planning templates.  You must be confident in reviewing and challenging submissions. 

In addition you will be expected to maintain the accuracy of the cost databases and communicate with the purchasing team to understand individual contracts and implications.

A full understanding of US and UK GAAP is preferred as is experience of working in a manufacturing / purchasing environment within FMCG.

You must be able to liaise with and provide advice to non-finance staff, be customer focused, be capable of working to tight deadlines and have a disciplined attention to detail.  Advanced Excel skill essential, experience of SAP an advantage.  In addition you must be decisive, pro-active and assertive.

Suit career focused individual with drive and ambition who has first class communication skills. are vital as you will be providing advice to non-finance staff.

Due location this role would suit candidates living in either Leicestershire, Derbyshire or Nottinghamshire.
