Due to reorganisation, our client, a market leading retailer and manufacturer, has created an exciting new role for an ambitious and career minded individual to join their finance team.

This is a great opportunity for an ACA / ACCA qualified accountant with 2 – 4 year’s PQE keen to make their first move into industry ideally from a top 4 or top 10 firm or someone who has already gained industry experience but wants to progress further.

Reporting into the Group Finance Manager you will be expected to assist with the running of the group’s financial accounting function responsible for; producing the Group’s management and statutory accounts and 5 year plan; the integrity of data and controls within their consolidation system; assisting with the development and application of accounting policies and financial control framework; researching technical accounting issues; supporting their local business unit accountants; internal audit reviews for subsidiaries.

Duties include;

• Assisting with the planning and delivery of the consolidated management accounts and financial statements and in the preparation of year end and half year consolidation
• Preparing disclosures required under IFRS, subsidiary company financial statements and summary accounts for tax purposes for overseas business units.
• Assisting in the resolution of technical accounting and supporting subsidiary businesses with their period-end reporting as required
• Assisting in the preparation of the Group’s 5 year plan and undertaking ‘ad-hoc’ projects as required.
• Completing national statistics returns for the Group.

You must be driven, ambitious, confident & posses first class communication skills as you will attend executive meetings on behalf of the Group Finance Manager.

An understanding of group consolidations, including foreign subsidiaries and cash flow reporting under IFRS & recent experience of statutory reporting under IFRS essential.
